Is there any reason to buy a bathtub costing thousands of dollars? How many times do you actually take a bath rather than a shower? You may think a jetted tub will be cool in your Waterford, MI home, but they are expensive up front, require extra electrical work, and in some locations extra permits. Honestly, very few people use them, and research shows many builders don’t even include bathtubs in new homes.

Vanity & countertop

This is often the centerpiece of a bathroom so we’re not telling you to buy the cheapest one you can find. However, you should also be realistic about what you can afford. Most of what you’re paying for is the appearance. While that’s important, it’s our experience you can find attractive tile for less than half the price you would pay for the premium product.
