How dated is your bathroom?
Candy pink color scheme = 1950s
Avocado green = 1960s
Carpeted floors = 1980s
Yes, these are extreme examples, but those bathrooms are still out there. Even if yours isn’t quite that bad, chances are you would like to give your bathroom or bathrooms a new look. The folks at Kotz Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, and especially the experts at the Kotz Showroom, are here to help with your bathroom renovation. We encourage you to come by the showroom and speak with our inhouse bathroom designer, Alex Brewer.
Her first step will be to help determine what you want and how the bathroom will be used. Is it just for you? You and a significant other? For the kids? Or maybe for guests? Then Alex will show you some of the latest trends and materials to make sure the appearance and atmosphere are what you want and will add value to your home.
Scope of the project
Bathroom renovations can be a relatively minor project or quite major, but to us a renovation means keeping the same layout and updating the features. If you are talking about going down to the bare walls, moving plumbing, and rewiring, it’s a bathroom remodel. Kotz can also help you with that, but right now the subject is how to give your current bathroom a new look.
Budget & priorities
Unless you’re one of those lottery winners, you have a budget you must stick to. Brewer says the best way to approach it is to make a list before you come to talk to her. First, make a priority list and then make a dream list. When you do that it’s easier to determine where the money needs to go, where you can splurge a little bit, and where you need to cut corners.
Even if your budget is small, you don’t have to throw your hands up in frustration. Just adding new fixtures and faucets will add sparkle to your existing bathroom. Kotz is proud to feature name brand faucets and fixtures in our showroom. Names like Kohler, Delta, Moen, Grohe, and many others. These are professional grade products you won’t find in the big box stores. Some other relatively minor changes that can make a big impact:
- New lighting fixtures
- Different towel racks
- New sink or sinks (there are many new styles & materials to choose from)
- Change color scheme with a new shower curtain and/or paint
You can make major changes in a bathroom without a complete remodel. Here are some of the design choices Kotz can help you with:
- New vanities or countertops
- Floor & wall tile
- Walk in showers or a new shower stall
- Bathtubs of all sizes and types
This tool lets you see how all the design choices fit together. Alex can create a 3D image of what your bathroom renovation will look like before you spend a single dollar. You can change fixtures and colors with the click of a computer mouse making it easy to compare different choices.
What are you waiting for?
There’s no reason not to call or stop by the Kotz Showroom. Small budget or large budget let the designers and the rest of our staff show you what’s possible to move your bathroom or bathrooms into the 21st century.
